Description |
A brass speaking trumpet with the words "ENGINE/ Co 3/ ORGANIZED/ SEPT. 13, 1865" engraved on the middle section and "M. F. D. on the bottom section. There are two rings which may have held a tassel at one time. There is pitting on the lower part of the trumpet and the mouthpiece has been soldered onto the body also, the mouthpiece is cracked. It measures 17 1/2" X 6 1/2" The trumpet is part of a gift of Robert A. Marks in 2010 which also includes a blue wool frock coat, pants, belt, and bell-crown hat. They are from the Goodwill Co.
